Because the N2 handles exceptionally heavy truck traffic (particularly coal hauling) SANRAL opted for a rigid concrete pavement design instead of traditional asphalt – a requirement that calls for precision, consistency and advanced paving technology.

With the Trimble Earthworks Dual GNSS system successfully installed and operator training completed, this CAT 140 grader is back in action on a road construction project along the Outeniqua Pass in the Western Cape.
