Dressing by design. Our Harris Dresser in Walnut, sitting softly in a warm, textural interior designed and styled by Aesthete Collective.
The characteristic rounded edges of the Harris family carry through the room in the curves of the mirror frame, the chair and the gently hung curtains. It’s a subtle visual thread that holds the space together without announcing itself and one that shows careful consideration of the experience of space.

A painted finish opens up a whole new conversation between the furniture and the space it lives in. Barstools in a deep burgundy or buttery yellow at a kitchen counter. A dining table in hot red or Yves Klein Blue. Our painted finish is applied over solid timber, in multiple coats, which means it has the depth to carry a strong colour and the durability to keep it.

At the breakfast counter or around the bar, the Four Legged Barstool is a design that does exactly what it sets out to do. Through solid timber, clean geometry and four slender legs tapering to the floor, it’s a simple design that really carries its weight. And yours.

The Nordwood Chair, with Danish cord seat. Danish cord is a tightly wound paper fibre that has been used in Scandinavian chair making since the mid twentieth century. And it’s a material that is as associated with a certain tradition of considered furniture design as any timber or joint. On the Nordwood it produces a seat that is firm but lightweight and which, over years of use, will develop a worn in patina, along with its timber frame. A chair that draws from two different making traditions, put together in Cape Town.

The Harvest Table, in solid Oak. There is a reason this design has been in continuous production since the early years of the studio. Traditional joinery, solid timber, and a surface built to hold the weight of years of shared meals. In winter the warmth and weight of the timber grounds a room in a way that only solid wood can.

The Riempie Bench is a design that draws on a long tradition of working with what is available. Solid timber and leather thonging are two materials that have been used together in Southern African furniture making for centuries. Such material honesty is worth preserving and bringing forward into a contemporary context. Our reimagined Riempie Bench is available with black leather or white synthetic riempies, in our full range of timber and finish options.
