It's time to share our Pet of the Month for September: Gidget!

"Gidget (goes by Gigi) is a spunky longhaired Chihuahua who rules the roost. She is a rescue so we think she is 7 years old, but we will never know for sure. They thought she was 2 when I adopted her in 2021. Previously, we had a sweet Beagle that I could take anywhere so having this uptight & growly munchkin has been an adjustment. She loves people, just hates other dogs. But really, once I get her settled with a new friend, she is just fine. She spent the first two years of her life with about 100 siblings as she was rescued from a hoarding situation. I assume that’s where she developed her hatred for other dogs and the need for her owner’s undivided attention. Her favorite toy is the mini lambchops- that’s her baby she takes care of. We are a dog loving family so we enjoy meeting new friends all the time. My apologies for her outbursts, lol. I would say hi every time if I could!"

For decades our lofts building was home to a thriving shoe manufacturing operation and even saw an expansion in 1922, creating a five-story complex that still stands to this day in the charming neighborhood of Lafayette Square.

☀️Hello August and hello to our new Pet of the Month: Kirby! 🐾

Kirby is a 4-month-old Border Collie/Australian Shepherd with a big personality and an even bigger love for adventure. Whether he's riding in the Jeep, exploring Forest Park, or strolling through Lafayette Square neighborhood, he's happiest when he's outside. Kirby loves meeting new dogs and making friends with everyone in our building. His favorite game is chasing a tennis ball during endless rounds of fetch, and he's completely fascinated by birds—he could watch them for hours. Curious, friendly, and always ready for his next adventure, Kirby brings smiles everywhere he goes.
