Got some 100+ year old antique tools donated today. Certainly can't throw these beauties into the furnace. Anybody have a good home for them?
Utah Recycling Alliance is holding a zero waste event today at 352 W. 900 S. in Salt Lake from 9-2. All those things hanging out in your garage that you've wondered all this time how to dispose properly now have a home. Natural Ventures is proud to be handling all metal waste for this event and is excited to play a role in our communities efforts to keep recyclable materials or of our land fill. Come and join us for this truly green event.
Here's an interesting fact that was recently published - it takes 24.4 tons of ore, oil, and other resources to make 1 ton of finished aluminum product. When using recycled aluminum it takes just 4.4 tons of resources to create the same ton of finished aluminum product. In other words, by using recycled aluminum instead of virgin ore we are able to conserve 20 tons of resources per ton of end product. That's a lot of savings!
