This Victorian armchair came to us with worn, faded upholstery and a little damage along the way. Beneath all that fabric, though, was a beautiful frame and plenty of character worth preserving.
Our upholstery team carefully stripped it down and rebuilt it before dressing it in this rich blue fabric. The new color gives the chair a completely different personality while still letting those carved roses, sweeping curves, and dark wood frame shine.
Same beautiful chair. A whole new chapter — and quite a bit more blue. 💙

Back on pie duty!🥧😉
This antique pie safe came to us with fire and water damage, along with repairs that needed attention before it could be made whole again.
After completing the necessary repairs, we refinished the wood to bring it back to its original color while preserving those wonderful punched-tin panels and all the character that makes a pie safe so distinctive.
Now it’s standing tall again, looking much more like itself and ready to get back to the very important business of keeping the pies safe!

A little understated elegance in the front…and plenty of drama in the back!
This settee came to us for repairs, a full refinish, and complete reupholstery. The soft gray fabric gives the deeply tufted front a fresh, classic look while letting that beautifully refinished wood frame take center stage.
But turn it around and—hello, cranes! The bold patterned fabric on the back adds an unexpected bit of personality, with colors that pair beautifully with the quieter fabric on the front. 😍
Proof that sometimes the back of the furniture deserves just as much attention as the front.

We are happy to announce that we are offering an encore of our April Furniture Refinishing workshop! If you didn't have a chance to take this 3-part series in the spring, this is your chance!
Expert refinisher Kelly Rowsey will teach you about refinishing tools & techniques, and then help you strip the finish from your furniture, sand it, apply stain, and seal and lacquer it. Each class builds upon the previous week, so we recommend taking all three parts.

Sometimes restoration really does mean getting a piece back on its feet.
This sewing machine cabinet came to us missing two of its turned legs. Using the surviving legs as his guide, our master woodworker Cristian recreated the missing ones to match. From the shape and proportions right down to the turned details.
Once the repairs were complete and the finish restored, you’d never know they had been missing at all. Just the way we like it!
