It's National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month. This month we want to raise awareness of the harmful effects that too much screen time has on children's risks of obesity.

On Saturday, August 22nd, Wallace participated at the City of Gresham's "Rock the Block", block party. This family-friendly event brought the community together for an evening of fun, entertainment, and valuable resources.

Attendees enjoyed live music, great food, and activities for kids, along with a variety of free services and community support.

Best of all, the event took place right in our front yard at Downtown Rockwood Plaza. Wallace volunteers handed out goodlies, like coloring books, water cups, and bags. We also provided games and toys for the kids to play with!

It's National Immunization Awareness Month.

The federal government issued an executive order Aug. 10 that calls for substantially changing the vaccination schedule for children in the United States. Oregon Health Authority and the West Coast Health Alliance continue to endorse the childhood vaccination recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
