The factory OEM software and a subscription to General Motors Service Programming 2 and Techline Connect software is necessary to program newer GM vehicles, like Chevrolet, GMC, Buick, Hummer, etc. SPS2is the more common tech name, it is also used on GM discontinued brands like Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Saab.
