Real men are hard to find, when you find them- don’t let them go. The grass isn’t always greener and realizing that is key to a long and healthy relationship. It’s not always about money, height, looks, who has the biggest truck. It’s about being trustworthy. It’s about being reliable. It’s about being a good parent and partner. It’s about shifting roles as needed. It’s about learning from your flaws and shortcomings and fixing it bc your family matters enough to. It’s about working through road blocks. It’s about taking time and space to see what is wanted and needed- and choosing your partner each and every time. Whew. Some people wonder why they’re single and still haven’t learned these things. Eventually Looks fade, eventually money isn’t as important, eventually your children become more manageable. It’s not always rainbows butterflies and unicorns, find someone who’s character is worth fighting in the trenches for and with. That’s what makes a marriage work.
