Jojo Corväiá
This exhibition marks ten years of Jojo Corväiá’s work with ceramics and coincides with the launch of his first book which traces the first decade of his practice. Bringing together recent sculptures alongside earlier pieces, including the artist’s very first work, the exhibition reveals a trajectory shaped by continuity, relocation, and an evolving relationship to material.

‘Posidoni’ was born from an immersion in the depths. Inspired by the sacred marine plants that mythology attributes to Poseidon, seaweed becomes matter here. Sculpted first in clay, then fixed in bronze, like so many suspended breaths, gusts from the ocean depths. The sculpture does not simply imitate nature: it unfolds its intensity, its free, irreducible power, which escapes control and transcends time without ever becoming fixed.
