We transformed this overlooked space into a warm, modern coffee station with:

• Walnut slim shaker cabinets by Kitchen Cabinet Distributors
• Gorgeous bronze hardware by Hardware Resources
• Translucent quartzite countertop & floating shelves with integrated LED sheet lighting by Task Lighting & Power
• A rich green wall color creating the perfect harmony with the walnut
• Two suspended wood & metal shelves, tying the cabinetry and hardware together
• A modern matte black pendant light with a unique pulley-inspired design

Talk about a dream kitchen upgrade! We completely rethought this space to maximize storage, functionality, and timeless style. Here’s a look at the stand-out details:

✨ Cabinets: Custom frameless cabinetry by Showplace Cabinetry in a warm Accessible Beige, extended up to the 9-foot ceilings for maximum vertical storage.
✨ Statement Feature: A custom white oak wood hood that grounds the space with natural texture.
✨ Countertops & Backsplash: Stunning quartzite slabs extending seamlessly all the way up the wall—accented by a custom integrated quartzite apron-front sink. By Terra Granite
✨ Smart Details: Angled power strips hidden under the cabinets (no outlets interrupting the full stone backsplash!), plus under-cabinet LED task lighting by Task Lighting & Power
✨ Function First: Deep pot-and-pan drawers, organized pullouts, a microwave drawer relocated near the fridge, and a double oven built right into the cabinetry.
✨ Hardware: Satin bronze transitional handles for the perfect finish by Top K***s
✨ Bonus: Added a new dedicated bar area complete with wine storage and proper seating space by the breakfast nook!

We loved bringing this full-scale redesign to life. By removing the dated whirlpool bath tub and replacing it with a sleek freestanding tub, we completely opened up the space, allowing for an expanded shower footprint and an extended vanity layout.

✨ Galveston Tiki Island Kitchen Transformation ✨

From dark, builder-grade and dated to bright, functional, and coastal-modern. 🌊🏡

This Tiki Island remodel completely reimagined the heart of the home by opening up the space and maximizing every inch of storage and functionality.

✔️ Replaced builder-grade cabinets and granite countertops
✔️ Installed modern shaker cabinetry in white and navy finishes
✔️ Upgraded to quartz countertops with a seamless quartz backsplash
✔️ Lowered the raised bar to create a single-level island perfect for entertaining
✔️ Removed the upper cabinets above the island to open the sightlines and bring in more natural light
✔️ Extended cabinetry all the way to the ceiling for additional storage and a custom look
✔️ Added LED under-cabinet lighting and discreet angled power strips
✔️ Relocated the microwave to the island and installed a properly vented range hood
✔️ Included practical storage solutions like a trash pullout, corner lazy Susan, and custom drawer inserts
✔️ Added recessed LED ceiling lighting for a brighter, more inviting kitchen

The result is a kitchen that feels larger, brighter, and designed for the way this family lives and entertains on Tiki Island.
