But I suggest starting small to support small!

What you’ll want to buy:
Red salsa
Green salsa
Homemade tortillas (if they have them!)
Queso Fresco (make sure it’s either made from the deli if possible and soft texture/fresh)

How you’ll eat it: 👇🏽
Heat up your tortillas until a little crisp
Add queso to tortilla
Add salsa
Grab some queso

And take a bite to be transported 😚😭

These are the best “hole in the wall” spots, for salsa.

Anytime I’m home sick, and don’t have the energy to make my mom’s salsa recipe myself, heading to my local Carniceria is always comforting.

be sure to bring cash as the easiest form of payment (so many businesses have to pay lots of $$ for credit card fees)

ALSO before you judge me for choosing the red salsa-yes I DID choose it because it looked like (and was) the less spicy option 😅

My advice for keeping your chances high for landing a role?

To surround yourself with friends.
Not for networking opportunities, but for the moments you struggle to see the value in yourself, they can reflect that back to you.

For the support and celebration for all the small wins, whether that’s having your application viewed by a human, getting a call back about the job, or a happy surprise email showing up in your inbox.

You’re valuable, you’re skilled and you’re worth it.

Get your haircut, colored or whatever it is done in Italy!!

Be sure to make sure the salon is reputable or course and ALWAYS bring inspo pix and the translation (in a notes app) of what you want to get done and WHY. Also ask for a quote before booking the appointment to make sure it works for your budget.

My haircut was only 30 minutes total but they somehow achieved exactly what I wanted and more!!

The cost for my haircut was only 38€ & I’m so thankful for the kindness of the stylists.

This is where you’ll find skincare products, high quality supplements and more.

Be respectful of everybody’s time always bring a list with what you’re looking for and photos included to make it easier on yourself and the pharmacist in case you need help.

In Greece and Italy the pharmacists were so helpful with directing me to certain products when I told them my goals.

They also have A313 and Tret if you ask the pharmacist for it, They’ll get it behind the counter.

But you’ll find A313 way cheaper in France itself.

The skincare and supplements in EU are held to a higher regulation standard than in the US so I stocked up 😅

My top tips?

Separating yourself from the idea that “buying it will fix it forever” bc we as humans are always going to have problems.

but they shouldn’t put our life on hold or become an obstacle for why we can’t feel joy in the present moment.

and the more you train your brain to resolve a problem without buying your way out of it, you actually prove evidence to yourself & your OCD part that you are capable of fixing it with resources you already have and yet still feel the ability to enjoy life.

The DIVE IN !!
It’s another free dining option alongside Lido, and the dining room. My partner wouldn’t stop raving about the burgers & fries from the dive in so we placed a mobile order and picked it up.

I ended up just eating some sliced fruit since I’m not a big blue cheese fan. And while I wasn’t as intrigued by the food for lunch, I did appreciate how ANY employee you run into has a genuine smile and really focuses on making the best of your experience and constantly going above and beyond.

I wish I was a millionaire because I’d tip millions of cash for every employee on deck. They truly are the best part of the cruise.

Everything I ate on my Holland America Line 7 day Mediterranean cruise : Day 3 breakfast edition

Our cruise fare includes food from the Lido deck and a few other restaurants. We tried ordering room service yesterday but with constant time changes and being hungry from so much traveling we thought it’d be better to just get it ourselves.

Today the breakfast was actually quite good! I was more impressed with the breakfast than the room service breakfast.
