This is what we packed.
Sunscreen, a carry-on that fits in the overhead bin on the first try, and a playlist that works for the drive, the flight, and the Airbnb kitchen at midnight. Also, a good pair of sunglasses and a hat.
Wherever life takes you this summer, don't forget the charger!

Every morning this summer, someone in our Dallas office writes a question on the whiteboard.
It started as a way to get through the heat. Somewhere along the way, it became the best five minutes of the day. People stop, they answer, they argue about it, and we move on.
We figured it was time to bring it outside the office.
So here's today's question. Fair warning: there's no right answer.
Would you rather dance everywhere you go or sing everything you say?

Greetings from Miami!
Ocean air, Art Deco everything, and a sunset that makes you forget you just sat in three hours of traffic to see it.
Florida has been the number-one inbound relocation state in the US for two years running, and a lot of those moves land in Miami.
Warm weather, a city that never slows down. No wonder people keep landing here.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup wrapped yesterday after 104 matches over 39 days.
From the grass grown in Colorado and shipped to Dallas, to the Dutch bus that crossed the Atlantic, to Sweden calling Frisco home for six weeks, every story in this tournament started with someone going somewhere new.
We love a good relocation story, and this tournament gave us thirty-nine days of them.

Every morning this summer, someone at CRI writes a new question on the whiteboard. This week we took it outside the office.
Real-time program visibility or a clean end of quarter report — which one are you actually working with today?

After 292 goals over 100 matches, the highest scoring rate of any World Cup in nearly 60 years, by the way, we're down to the last 4 teams. Every match from here decides everything.
We move people for a living. We appreciate high-stakes moments.

The World Cup is the greatest global mobility experiment on the planet. Thousands of people, new cities, new environments, perform or go home.
There's a lesson in there for how we support relocating employees. Cigna's latest research backs it up.

Why does the World Cup fascinate us? Because it puts the world of relocation on full display, at a scale most of us will never touch directly.
Each national team travels with dozens of people, including players, coaches, doctors, analysts, chefs, security, and support staff. They're hopping borders and cities on tight schedules, and nobody's checking a single carry-on.
Moving 48 teams across North America takes an almost unbelievable amount of equipment and vehicles. Someone tell our HHG team to lighten up. ;)
Millions of flights. Millions of people. All traveling somewhere new.
48 teams traveled to North America for the world's biggest tournament. Players and staff flew in from Sydney, Stockholm, Buenos Aires, Tokyo, and everywhere in between. New cities. New training facilities. New routines. Base camps set up months in advance so that when match day arrived, everyone was already settled and ready to go.
The quarterfinals are set. 32 teams became 8. Every match from here decides who goes home.
The teams still standing didn't just show up. They were prepared to be here.

FIFA has one rule every fan needs to know before they walk into a stadium: the clear bag policy. One bag. 12 x 6 x 12 inches. No exceptions. All 16 host stadiums across the US, Canada, and Mexico.
We thought about that a lot — because rules are kind of our thing too.
At CRI, we handle the rules that come with every corporate relocation. Immigration compliance. Tax gross-up. Cross-border policy. Duty of care. Expense reporting. The fine print that most HR teams don't have time to read, let alone manage.
The fan checklist above? That's the easy version.
Your employees moving to a new city for a new role are working through a much longer list. We make sure none of it lands on your desk.
