💡 A little history: gasoliers (a portmanteau of “gas” and “chandelier”) date back to the early 1800s, when homes and theaters first got piped gas lighting. Before the 1890s and the spread of electric light, these were THE status symbol — a glowing centerpiece for parlor
✨ St. Sebastian & the Rainbow Flame ✨
St. Sebastian became an LGBTQ+ icon in the 19th and 20th centuries, embraced by artists and writers — from Oscar Wilde to Derek Jarman — who saw in his defiant, beautiful, arrow-pierced body a powerful metaphor for q***r resilience, hidden identity, and love that endures persecution.
So we gathered a few old friends:
