Bizarre Guitars by Spike is my way of combining my passions for art, music, and carpentry. My goal is to make original stringed instruments that make great wall hangers as art, but are also fully functional and have great playability

This is #28 (I think), 'The Wizard'. It is an Ashton cigar box mated to an Epiphone neck. Finished Feb. 2018, but it's been my travel guitar since I first pieced it together Oct '17

Haven't posted anything in close to a year, so I just thought I'd put this Skateboard / 2 x 4 double neck out there...

Kinda a 'Diamond in the Rough'. I started out making this for a friend, and ended up putting it on hold several times due to setbacks. I ended up keeping it as I don't feel it's up to par for public consumption- but even w/ it's technical diffulties (squarish neck, for instance), I still get a kick out of playing it once in a while :)

#25- Millennium Falcon Banjo Ukulele 04/17/2016

Finished this last October but will need a new bridge. Has LED's that change colors and 2 x pickups; 1/2a P-Bass pickup on top and a pezio mounted in the Danish cookie tin (resonator) under the bridge

#26- Modified 60's/70's? Kingston 04/17/2016

This is a 500K ohm resister identicle to the one used for the volume pot, bought at Radio Shack for $3 - $4. It required a wafer board for wiring as shown. Where most potentiometers ('pots') used on guitars just adjust up or down, this has 15 distinct settings from lowest to highest resistance. Therefore, as most guitars go to 10, and Spinal Taps go to 11, this goes to 15 :) . It also has a pushbutton function I used to include or remove the Tone k**b from the circuit (SPDT)
