此次展覽以日常生活中累積的直覺性與感官性的筆觸進行創作。這些痕跡作為內在與外在遭遇的記錄,承載著個人與集體的意義。透過刻意保留顏料的痕跡,同時又加以抹除或遮蔽,強調藝術創作過程本身的重要性。創造與消解的行為成為作品的核心,凸顯不確定性、脆弱性與變動。塗抹與取消並非對立,而是在畫面中並存、彼此平衡的力量。
This exhibition features works created with intuitive and sensory brushstrokes accumulated from daily life. Serving as records of internal and external encounters, these traces carry both personal and collective significance. By deliberately preserving the marks of paint while simultaneously erasing or obscuring them, the artist emphasizes the crucial importance of the creative process itself.
The acts of creation and dissolution form the core of the artwork, highlighting uncertainty, vulnerability, and transience. Smearing and cancellation are not opposing forces, but rather coexisting and balancing powers within the canvas.

《我的靈魂在風中搖擺》廖以歆個展
〰〰〰My soul is swinging in the wind
廖以歆，1987年生於台灣新北市，2013年畢業於舊金山藝術大學美術研究所。作品以油彩與壓克力為主要創作媒材，她將哲學、心理學、詩歌、淺意識與夢境融入繪畫創作，以直覺捕捉內在感知，記錄生命流動的片刻，其作品在思緒與感官之間游移，描繪那些難以言說卻持續發生的內在風景，並在東西方文化的交匯與異地生活經驗中，逐步形塑其創作語境。
曾受邀參與韓國、匈牙利、芬蘭與蘇格蘭等地之國際藝術家駐村計畫，豐富的跨文化駐村經歷深刻影響其創作視角與方式。亦受邀於臺灣、韓國、美國、歐洲及斯里蘭卡等地參與重要展覽與藝術博覽會，持續於國際場域中拓展作品的展示脈絡。
IChin Liao ,Born in New Taipei City, Taiwan in 1987, graduated with an MFA from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco in 2013. Working primarily with oil and acrylic, Liao infuses her paintings with philosophy, psychology, poetry, the subconscious, and dreams. She intuitively captures internal perceptions to record the fluid moments of life. Hovering between thought and sensation, her works depict the unspeakable yet ever-unfolding inner landscapes, gradually shaping a distinct creative discourse informed by her cross-cultural experiences and life abroad.
IChin has been invited to international artist-in-residence programs in South Korea, Hungary, Finland, and Scotland; these rich cross-cultural residencies have profoundly influenced her creative perspective and artistic approach. Her works have also been featured in major exhibitions and art fairs across Taiwan, South Korea, the United States, Europe, and Sri Lanka, as she continuously expands the presentation and context of her practice on the international stage.

我們無法看見風，但當看見樹葉顫動、窗簾揚起，我們便知道風確實存在。那麼，我們要如何看見一個人在日常、記憶與想像交織下，那種難以言說的心理狀態？
那些內心深處飄忽、脆弱且流動的拉扯，正如同靈魂在無形的風中搖擺。在本次個展中，廖以歆將這些無形的內在震動轉化為抽象形式與物件，捕捉了那些稍縱即逝的瞬間。這些狀態源自於深刻的生活經驗，涵蓋了現實、人類記憶與想像，甚至包含如氣味般隱晦的感官痕跡。進而將這些看不見的內在震動，轉譯為存在與缺席、情感與記憶的具體殘留。
We cannot see the wind, yet when we witness leaves trembling and curtains swaying, we know it truly exists. How, then, do we perceive that unspeakable psychological state of an individual, interwoven with daily life, memory, and imagination?
Those drifting, fragile, and fluid tensions deep within the soul are like spirit swaying in an invisible wind. In this solo exhibition, Liao I-chin transforms these intangible internal vibrations into abstract forms and objects, capturing those fleeting moments. Derived from profound life experiences, these states encompass reality, human memory, and imagination, even trailing obscure sensory traces akin to scents. Ultimately, they translate these invisible internal vibrations into concrete remnants of presence and absence, emotion and memory.
