Pink Room

Last Friday at Pink Room, we had an internal talk on Git worktrees.

The short version: one repository, several working copies. You can work on multiple branches at the same time without stashing anything, and each coding agent gets its own copy of the codebase to work in.

Worktrees went from a Git curiosity to a daily tool for us when we started running AI agents in parallel. One agent per worktree, without stepping on each other’s changes or interrupting your own workflows.

The important part is treating each worktree as a complete working context, not just a folder. Code, terminal, editor and agent session all belong together.

That was Sunset at Pink Hub.

Every few weeks, someone at Pink Room closes their laptop and teaches the rest of us something.

In a small team, what someone learns can’t stay in one head. Teaching each other is how the whole team gets senior, not just the person who did the work.

For two years, João was firmly on the Bare Workflow side of the debate. His friend kept telling him Expo had changed. He ignored him.

Then he actually looked.

Development Builds, Config Plugins, EAS Build, and OTA updates had quietly turned “native or convenience” into a false trade-off.

That’s shifted how we approach React Native projects. Less friction, without giving up the flexibility teams actually need.
