The trick is that even the discarded can be put into good use. It is our insistence that no such thing is irrelevant and all abound in meaning.

If we do not shy away from the bigger picture and decide, good things may follow. Things are inherently good and we can straight away connect to their meaning through our imagining and introspect. It may be as dead as a slice of tin or poetic as a child's sleep, anything and anyone can be productive. The catch is to become; to be whole again.
