Come to Ozamiz City and experience the Subayan Keg Subanen Festival. Witness the colorful street dances and tableau competitions that celebrate the Subanen lifestyle. Held every 16th of July, the festival commemorates the anniversary of Ozamiz becoming a chartered city, along with the feast day of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, the city’s secondary Catholic patroness.

This festival represents the harmonious coexistence between indigenous culture and the Catholic faith. Celebrations such as this one teaches us the importance of respecting cultural diversity, preserving our traditions, and fostering unity among people of different backgrounds.
