UAPSA SJIT

FROM INK TO D**K REAL QUICK. The United Architects of the Philippines - Butuan Chapter, alongside UAPSA SJIT, Architecture Student Association - SJIT, and the United Architects of the Philippines Graduate Auxiliary - Caraga (UAPGA Caraga), successfully gathered for an afternoon of sportsmanship, camaraderie, and active recreation.

Architects, graduates, and students traded their drafting pens and blueprints for pickleball paddles at the Evian Pickleball Grounds in Buenavista, Agusan del Norte.

This inter-chapter and multi-generational sports activity served as a refreshing break from the drawing board, strengthening professional bonds and personal connections within the architectural community of the region.

Thank you to everyone who joined, played, and showed up in full spirit. Stay tuned for more collaborative events ahead.

UAPSA-SJIT, in collaboration with ASA-SJIT, successfully organized and hosted 𝐁𝐄𝐘𝐎𝐍𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐒: ASCENDING INTO AN UNBOUND ARCHITECTURAL REVERIE, a General Arki Orientation, taking place last August 26, 2026 at the SJIT Multimedia Center (MMC).

The Architecture Department got together, connected with one another, built a community and gained new insight today! 🪼🐋

Special thanks and appreciation was also extended towards our special guest for the afternoon, 𝐀𝐫. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐜 𝐆. 𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐜, 𝐔𝐀𝐏, the Chapter President of the UAP Butuan Chapter.

The journey isn't over yet though! This is just another step in our great ascent. 💙💚

Today, on the 43rd anniversary of his August 21, 1983 assassination, we commemorate the bravery and unwavering patriotism of 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐨 "𝐍𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐲" 𝐀𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐉𝐫. He is a man of courage, service, and sacrifice who stood firm in his conviction and faith in the Filipino people.

May his words continue to remind us that courage is found in standing for what is right, and that the Filipino remains worth 𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈, 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒕𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒃𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒏.

Due to the extreme heat conditions reported by the Butuan City Public Information Office, face-to-face classes at the College of Engineering and Architecture are hereby suspended today, August 13, 2026.

Classes during the affected period shall be conducted asynchronously. Regular face-to-face classes will resume at 4:45 PM.

Students are advised to stay hydrated and avoid prolonged exposure to the heat.
