Our NZ made cape cod chairs (also known as adirondack chairs) are a classic design with curved back and rolled over seat front.

The pine used is H3 LOSP treated (Light Organic Solvent Preservative). We use stainless steel screws so won't rust. Garden Pine Design started as a small part time business in 1996 by Jim and Fiona of Waihi who refined the model of the cape cod chair by introducing a curved back (like a bucket seat) which made it more comfortable. We’re proud to support a great cause this May 🐾

We’ve donated a Cape Cod Chair kitset to a fundraising raffle run by Upper Hutt Dog Training Club in conjunction with their Dogs NZ Scent Work Trial this May, with all proceeds going to the K9 Medical Detection Trust Charity.

K9 Medical Detection trains dogs to assist in detecting cancer and other diseases—an incredible contribution to healthcare.
