CUSTOM SHIFTING PARABOLA

A custom Shifting Parabola light sculpture, commissioned for a private residence in New York.

Developed as an evolution of the Parábola Collection, the piece explores the relationship between light, material, and space. Conceived specifically for the architecture of the residence, its scale and geometry respond directly to the space it inhabits.

The weight and tension of the brass sheets shape the suspended form, while a continuous path of light inhabits its interior, creating a shifting dialogue between illumination and shadow, presence and absence.

CUSTOM GEAR RECEPTION DESK — FOUR SEASONS DUBAI

A custom reception desk developed for Four Seasons Dubai, extending the material and formal language of the Gear Collection into an architectural scale.

Rooted in the structural qualities of honeycomb cardboard, the piece translates the irregular patterns revealed through cutting and layering into cast metal. The process preserves the tension between precision and unpredictability, allowing texture, imperfections, and the hand of the artisan to remain present in the final surface.

Conceived specifically for its context, the reception desk moves beyond its functional role to become a sculptural element within the architecture—a continuous landscape of texture, weight, and reflection.

FRECUENCIA CHAIR
stainless steel

The Frecuencia Chair explores the tension between repetition and variation, rhythm and structure. Emerging from a single silhouette and intention, continuous bent steel bars extend across the piece, while subtle shifts in height, length, and spacing introduce structural integrity and visual rhythm.

Through repetition, the linear elements define the chair’s form and evoke an endless functional vibration made material. Their polished surfaces catch and reflect light, creating the illusion of a form in flux—dissolving or fading into its surroundings.

Negative space becomes an active component, allowing light to pass through and casting shadows and halos. The chair transcends function to become a visual echo: a sculptural expression of rhythm, presence, and the subtle power of repetition—a continuous functional vibration made visible.

Gear Intersticio, 2026

The piece operates through a dual condition of containment and filtration, where structure becomes a vessel for light to inhabit and quietly unfold.

As part of the Gear Collection, this piece extends an exploration that originates from the inner structure of corrugated cardboard. When cut, its core reveals a rhythmic, almost architectural pattern—what is typically hidden becomes the generator of form. Constructed through the interlock of four amplified cavities of the Gear system, Gear Intersticio is defined by the interstice itself.

Light is contained within and allowed to escape with restraint. It grazes the bronze walls of each cavity, constructing a condition of penumbra—where light barely emerges, yet intensifies and expands the expression and texture of the form. Rather than projecting outward, the light remains held, filtered, allowing the geometry to reveal itself through subtle gradients.

Candle Grid Collection

A series of sculptural and architectural structures composed of continuous metal grids—crafted in brass or iron—each designed to hold one or more candles. As the candles burn, melting wax drips and gathers within the lattice, creating an organic, unpredictable, and evocative formation. Over time, the accumulation of wax becomes a transient presence—ever-changing and alive—shifting the work’s appearance with each use.
