I highly recommend the worlds oldest functioning lighthouse at 800+ years old and counting. Taking the Hook Lighthouse tour was fantastic, finding out just how steeped in history this lighthouse is. Our tour guide John had such passion for the lighthouse, for the men and women who worked tirelessly here over the years, from its beginning with St. Dubhán a Welsh monk to how William Marshal contributed to the area and to the further construction of the lighthouse. The history is well worth a read.

What county are you from? What county do you live in? What's your favorite county? What's the best county?
The Alphabet is one of the first things you learn in Irish Sign Language and this is a way of getting the alphabet out there in a way we can all relate to. We are all from somewhere.
I didn't want to put too many lines or too loud patterns in these posters. In sign language you need to focus on the body language/ hand movements of the people around you. If there are too many lines or patterns on someone's clothing it can be hard to focus on the hands/ body movements. Like walking past a railing on a sunny day, it can play with your eyes or a wooden slatted wall can throw your eyes off and appear as though they are moving.
Each county would have its own sign rather than spelling it each time, but 1. It's not the easiest to put signs into a poster where movement is involved. 2. If you don't know the sign, then you can always spell it anyway.

Our daily lives can be overwhelming, bombarded with information that we can’t take at face value anymore.
Everything we hear or are told, needs to be crosschecked. Society is divided into those who believe everything they hear and those who keep an open mind. We are constantly being fed some agenda. Thinking for yourself and keeping an open mind is easier said than done.
This piece is a nod to the phrase “Paper never refuses ink”. Right now, anything is considered news worthy, once it makes headlines, or gets views or clicks on social media.
The Poisoned Pen Letters, are also part of this piece.
We all have the ability to share our opinion so easily on social platforms, regardless of who it hurts or damages. The problem is, opinions are not facts, but are given the same weight as facts, and so the lines are blurred.
We don't hear of the boy who cried wolf anymore, he grew up and is now the man who cried fake news. Paper has finally had enough of fake news and propaganda, of being the messenger "Don't shoot the messenger".
Paper is finally refusing the ink!

What a week I had with such a great bunch of people, and one that will stay with me for a very long time. Well done you successfully brought Canada to Silver at the Olympic games, you achieved something so many people can only dream of, so let that sink in. Jackie's Army had your back all the way. We are all very proud of what you achieved and look forward to what's yet to come.
