Tony decided to set the business up after his previous employer, Erneplus, pulled their company out of Cork after six years. As there were a lot of customers who were left without a supplier, Tony decided that he would take advantage of the situation by setting up his own company to cater for these customers. After an initial meeting with Cork Plastics, Tony is delighted to now be their main stock
ist in the Cork area. "My intention is to supply PVC fascia, soffits, gutters, downpipes, PVC decking and PVC fencing at factory prices. These products are now available to builders, installers and to the general public for incredible prices. As everyone who is in the building industry knows, cost is very important and every product that's being used in building has to be priced right. Customers who use Northpoint PVC to buy their building products will save hundreds of euro whether they are building a new house or even an extension, prices at Northpoint PVC are lower than anywhere else in Cork." Tony has been involved in the building business for the last 20 years and in that time he has seen many changes, particularly in the last two years. "Some companies are charging ridiculous prices for PVC products. Every company has to make a profit but in Northpoint PVC we buy everything in bulk so we can get the best possible prices which we then translate to our customer prices so that's why our products are so cheap. A lot of people thought I was mad to set up a new company in these difficult times but because my products are so cheap, I think I have a great chance of success." The company has just finished a brand new showroom which displays its full range of bathroom panelling. It also has the latest composite decking which is quickly taking the place of traditional, timber decking in many homes. Northpoint PVC also provides a full fitting service and they provide a free delivery service. Tony says at Northpoint PVC, the customer is always the number one priority. "We set up to specifically cater for the small customer and we are going to develop this company with one thing in mind and that is service. If a customer was to place an order today then they will receive it the next day. Our motto is that the customer is king."
