Cork University Hospital Emergency Medicine Department

A&E The Emergency Department (ED) at Cork University Hospital (CUH) is unique in that it is the only Level 1 Trauma centre in the country.

It is operational 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The new department opened in April 2005 and approximately sixty thousand patients pass through the emergency department every year, making it one of the busiest emergency departments in the country.
