From 10–13 September, Viaplant will be presented at Urban Days at Arena Chișinău, in collaboration with Rotte Group.

Discover our plant-based materials, surfaces and design objects and explore how real plants can become part of contemporary architecture and interiors.

Kávékedvelők figyelmébe!☕🌿

Ki tudja, kinek a reggeli kávéja került fel a falra, lett belőle lámpabúra vagy éppen a pult frontja?

A kávékészítés történetében több olyan anyag is keletkezik, amelyre eddig leginkább hulladékként tekintettünk. Mi megpróbáltuk másképp nézni őket.
A nyers kávébabot pörkölés előtt meg kell szabadítani egy vékony rétegtől, az úgynevezett ezüsthártyától. Könnyű, finom, gyönyörű struktúrájú anyag, mégis melléktermék.

Ezután jön mindaz, amiért a kávét szeretjük. A pörkölés, az őrlés, az illat és végül maga a kávé. A történet végén pedig ott marad a kávézacc. Újabb melléktermék. Újabb alapanyag.

A Dózis kávézóban mindkettő új életet kapott.
Hónapokon keresztül gyűjtötték nekünk a vendégek kávéja után megmaradt zaccot, mi pedig Viaplant anyagot fejlesztettünk belőle. Így került vissza ugyanabba a térbe falburkolatként, lámpabúraként és a pult világító frontjaként.
Ami korábban hulladék volt, most ugyanannak a kávékultúrának a részeként él tovább.

Ehhez persze nemcsak technológia kell, hanem megrendelői nyitottság is. A Dózis csapata pedig az első pillanattól partner volt a kísérletezésben.✨

Calling all coffee lovers! ☕ 🌿

Whose morning coffee ended up on the walls, as a lampshade, or even as part of the counter front?

The journey of coffee generates several materials that have traditionally been seen as waste. We decided to look at them differently.

Before green coffee beans are roasted, they are stripped of a thin layer called the silverskin. It is a light, delicate material with a beautiful natural structure — yet it is usually treated as a by-product.

Then comes everything we love about coffee: the roasting, the grinding, the aroma, and finally, the coffee itself. And at the end of the journey, the **coffee grounds** are left behind. Another by-product. Another potential material.

At Dózis Café, both have been given a new life.

For months, the café collected the coffee grounds left behind by its guests. We then developed a Viaplant material from them, bringing them back into the very same space as **wall cladding, lampshades, and the illuminated front of the counter**.

What was once considered waste now continues its journey as part of the same coffee culture that created it.

Of course, this takes more than technology. It also takes an open-minded client willing to experiment. The Dózis team has been a true partner in this process from the very beginning.

Vibrant Summer, Burning Earth 🌿

We are delighted to be part of Vibrant Summer, Burning Earth – Botanical Conversations in the Language of Art and Design, a group exhibition presented at the Liszt Institute Brussels.

Bringing together three different creative perspectives, the exhibition explores the botanical world through art, design and material. With works by ZEMA, Viaplant and Barnabás Szakács, plants become ornament, material, memory and message — inviting us to look at nature not only as something to admire, but as something to understand, value and protect.

For Viaplant, nature becomes material. Real plants are preserved in surfaces and objects, carrying their textures, forms and stories into contemporary design.

We warmly invite you to discover the exhibition and join this botanical conversation in Brussels.

Fény, természet és építészet találkozása. 🌿

A budapesti NOBU étterem enteriőrjének meghatározó eleme egy 60 m²-es, Viaplant Lunaria textúrával készült világító mennyezet. A természetes növényi elemekkel létrehozott felület a fény hatására különleges mélységet és finom, változó textúrát ad a térnek.

Öröm számunkra, hogy a Viaplant egy ilyen léptékű belsőépítészeti projektben jelenhet meg, ahol az anyag egyszerre válik építészeti felületté és a tér meghatározó fényforrásává.

Where light, nature, and architecture meet. 🌿

A defining element of the NOBU Restaurant Budapest interior is a 60 m² illuminated ceiling featuring the Viaplant Lunaria texture. Created with natural plant elements, the surface takes on a unique depth and delicate, ever-changing texture as light passes through it.

We are proud to see Viaplant become part of an interior project of this scale, where the material serves both as an architectural surface and a defining source of light within the space.

Join us in Brussels for a hands-on Viaplant workshop, where nature, design and personal stories come together. Using dried flowers, leaves and botanical materials, you'll create your own unique composition, which will later be transformed into a handcrafted Flonder lamp.

Bring a flower from your garden, a bouquet from a special occasion, or simply choose from our curated botanical collection. Every lamp tells a different story, preserving memories through the beauty of nature and contemporary design.
