Hippocrates Garden

1 of September and the new year for Ancient Greek people.
My dear friends from around the world today is the new year for the ancient Greek people and in Kos women are still keeping the culture by offering to the sea fruits and seeds.
An Ancient ritual that kept alive for centuries and with these prayers the women blessed their houses for all the year.
Today we follow our grandmothers and we went to the sea early morning.
We offered pomegranate, garlic, olives, honey and tree leafs and took back sea water.
We hope keeping our traditions we offer to our children a better life and a better philosophy about these new years.
So happy new year to all of you, beautiful September and a peaceful Autumn.

20 years replanting the planet with all friends and visitors.
My dear friends from around the world, our beloved Mother Earth is now coming in a difficult moment. The news are not good, people are leaving the planet massively, earthquakes , massive fires, massive floods are giving us a message for all life in Earth.
We knew about it long ago and we tried our best to avoid it.
And we still try to give to the future generations what ever we can.
Today we planted another tree with another family.
20 years thousands of trees with thousands of kids.
With a wish for all children to have food, shelter and a good life at last.

Hippocrates garden cultural centre is changing the opening hours tomorrow 15 of August.
Opening hours 9.00 to 15.00.

My dear friends from around the world,
Tomorrow,15 of August,is one of the holiest day in our Greek culture.
Tomorrow we celebrate the immemorial of the death of mother Mary.
For us this day is the day of the family unity, the day of the Holy Mother Mary, the one who brought to us the message of forgiveness, of compassion, of unconditional love.
This day, which is the pick of summer time, we come together to eat and be united with all our family members.
So tomorrow we decided to take a small brake and close our center at 15.00.
Wishing to you all happy " Panagia", Holy Mother of all , as we say.

Another day in Hippocrates garden.
Spirits of the Garden, Trees that are speaking, new born birds and poetic women.
The butterfly is looking at us and the turtle starts her travelling.
Days comes and goes and the Garden give me hope.
Life is beautiful, only if we want to see it.

Flowers blooming and trees drinks water.
We need that as the sun will start shining strong until October.

20 years "Hippocrates garden" cultural center.
My dear friends from around the world, another spring came and our cultural center is opening again the doors to the public.
From 1 of May we are starting again to host the visitors coming from around the world,in our beloved island of Kos.
From 10.00 to 15.00 we will be open,you are all truly welcome.
Thank you all once again.

Save the bees , planting more flowers and trees.
Our life in Hippocrates garden is unique and sacred. Today we had the lack to meet for the first time the Queen of the Bees.
2000 bees had their hive inside the chimney of our house.
Together with a local beer keeper we tried to couch the bees and the Queen.
The blessing came and we found the most sacred being , the Queen of the hive.From today we will start a new chapter in our cultural center. Bee keeping and protection of the most important being in our planet.
Bee protection is a honor and responsibility for us.
Water with a bit of sugar and they will continue giving life to all of us.
