A labour of love 🪡

This beautiful iron back armchair has been completely reupholstered in artoftheloomuk Rowe VI — and this one involved rather a lot of hand stitching!

The iron framework within the back means much of the upholstery can’t be tacked/stapled into place, so a lot of the finishing has been carefully stitched by hand.

And because it’s all in the details… we even pattern matched every individual button to the fabric beneath it. A tiny detail that takes considerably more time than you might think, but makes such a difference when you look closely. 👀

We absolutely love Rowe VI on this chair. The rich plum, soft greens and muted botanical design feel completely at home with its traditional shape, original timber and brass castors.

This beautiful Parker Knoll wingback has been given a new lease of life, upholstered in Balmoral Amethyst with Memphis Regal faux leather to create a timeless combination of texture and colour.

The best part? This is only half of the story. We’re currently working on a matching Parker Knoll for the same client, featuring the same faux leather paired with a different tartan – creating a perfectly coordinated his & hers pair that complements each other without being identical.

These bespoke bar stools were handmade right here in the UK, using materials and craftsmanship from some brilliant British suppliers.

The solid wooden frames were designed by us and handmade by AZ Wood Works, before we upholstered in rich Mustang Tan leather by Yarwood Leathers, paired with Olive Grove wool plaid from Art of the Loom. Finished with traditional studding and plenty of attention to detail, they’re designed to look even better as they age. 🤎

We love the combination of the warm tan leather, wool plaid fabric and natural timber against our clients gorgeous green kitchen — classic country style with a slightly more contemporary finish.
