Home is where our story begins...
My name is Christine, and I’m a former teacher living in Warrington, Cheshire. Since retiring I have fallen in love with restoring and painting vintage furniture.

My upcycling journey began a few years ago when we were renovating our home – which meant the problem of the (very orange) pine Welsh dresser finally had to be addressed. It was so dated, and was scratched and dinged, and I came close to letting it go.
But it was a gift from my late grandparents and held great sentimental value for me, which meant the tip wasn’t an option! The only thing left to do was to have a go at restoring it. It was a joy to see it begin to shine again, a real labour of love, as all my painting projects have been since that first transformation.
