Love completing commissions for customers but every now and then I get to be passionate about bringing my own vision to life on a piece, like with this stunning mid century limelight chest of drawers, the second one of these iconic pieces that I’ve been lucky enough to find to work on in the last year!

Painted in Cast Iron by Fusion Mineral paint, a true off black. Top drawer has had a raised design added and stands out amongst the others due to its unique curved shape. Dovetailed joints, original brass pulls and drawer sides decoupaged with an intricate colourful hummingbird design which contrasts perfectly.

This has to be just about the most cutest piece of vintage furniture I’ve ever seen, with delightful engraving and dove tailed joints. Would be exquisite as a dressing table, desk or hallway table. It’s been a week of being tested! Finished the week on a high though with two beautiful mid century and vintage commissions finished this weekend and a lovely phone call with a new customer. A 1950’s Stag C chest refinished (see before photos 😩) and a lovely little Harris Lebus chest painted.

Vintage Harris Lebus wardrobe completed as a commission for a customers daughter in Kent who received this beauty today. Painted in coral - a pinky orange pastel by Fusion Mineral Paint UK with a combination of other colours used for the distressed areas. Feet have been stripped back of their original dark finish to lighten 🧡

Another 5* review from a lovely new customer in London who received their order today, thank you Jak. Customer took inspiration from a similar piece completed in green earlier in the year and desired for this boho effect to be replicated using a beautiful terracotta shade by Fusion Mineral Paint UK ~ Iron Clay, with a combination of colours used to create the grey / green which contrasts against the orange shade. Gorgeous rare copper handles with intricate engraving added along with a raised design to the top drawer which finishes the piece beautifully. Perfectly unique in every way 🧡

🩵 Last year I completed this Harris Lebus chest of drawers in a gorgeous minty green, Laurentien by Fusion Mineral Paint UK and last night at my 40th birthday party, my partner surprised with me with this incredible (and divinely tasty) cake that he had designed to replicate the drawers! What’s even more touching is the sentiment behind it, the support (and endless listening) of my obsession for furniture and being creative. A paint brush I’ll treasure.

🖤 Commission completed this week. Customer chose for this beautiful vintage Harris Lebus piece to be painted in Dixie Belle’s chalk mineral paint in the colour black caviar. Detailed areas have been stripped of their outdated orange stain to reveal the gorgeous original light oak grain for contrast then sealed. Complete with a little dazzle for the original handles and varnished all-over to protect and she’s ready for her new forever home!
