My building is a hive of activity from Derbyshire honey being distributed to piano restoration, music lessons, curtain making and the sound of machinery embroidering logos to name but a few.
There's so many small businesses working hard and it's encouraging to share a big mill with other self motivated people working hard.

Can you work out which one has been cleaned and hydrated?
It's been hard work considering I'm only giving a subtle difference to the patina but I think it's worth it. Cleaning off grubby fingers gone by, spillages from the dinner table and flecks of paint.
Next I'll apply a high-quality wax and then it's just a matter of finding them a home and choosing the upholstery fabric.
Before, after and in-between. Sentimental rocking chairs fully restored Yellowstone style. Woodwork completely restored to bring out the grain, new interiors all upholstered in a fabulous faux cow hide. Yee-haw!
A Jindrich Halabala spider table is drying after weeks of work to restore the wood and veneer before building the polish back up.
I've used a polishing mop to get the high shine finish finely built up. I've reached 13 coats meticulously lining up the strokes. Keying back the surface between some coats to get it as smooth as possible.
Hopefully you can see how it's brought it back to life, although it's always better in reality.

It's lovely to see the bench cushion in place. We don't just restore chairs for reading on we make bench cushions too.
I do love a reading nook but only if the books are about furniture. I'm not much of a reader otherwise. What do you read?

100 years old and finally starting to come back to life. I've been working hard on this Halabala Spider table for a client. The polish isn't finished but it's starting to get it's lustre back.

It's so petite it fits on my desk! This little bentwood chair I sourced has been totally transformed for my client.
Do you have the vision? Don't worry because I do so I'm always on hand to offer advice if you aren't sure that ideas will look good.
