A rare pair of white bouclé Italian armchairs, 1950s, attributed to Osvaldo Borsani for Tecno.
Soft in texture, strong in silhouette — this is the kind of design that works beautifully in both modern and traditional interiors. The rounded form, generous proportions and low metal feet give the chairs a sculptural presence, while the pale bouclé upholstery keeps them calm, elegant and easy to place.
A considered piece for a contemporary home, a period property, or a layered antique interior.

A rare pair of white bouclé armchairs, Italian 1950s, attributed to Osvaldo Borsani for Tecno.
This design is a special find for collectors who recognise the reference: the same model appears in the documented Casa Osvaldo Borsani interior, Milan, 1956. With their generous proportions, sculptural arms, soft rounded back and low metal disc feet, the chairs capture the refined confidence of post-war Italian modernism.
The white bouclé upholstery gives the pair a softer, contemporary look while keeping the architectural strength of the original design.

My great-grandfather opened his first shop in Italy in 1880. 🇮🇹
I grew up knowing the weight of a well-made piece. The grain of the wood. The age of the patina. What the hands that made it understood about beauty that we’ve largely forgotten.
Four generations later, I’m here in Chelsea — on King’s Road — doing the same thing. Curating authenticated Italian design from 1940 to 1980. The era when Italian craftsmen were, quite simply, the best in the world.
Every piece in my showroom has a story. Come and find yours.
