Custom Breakfast Bar & Matching Stools

A recent custom order now in its new home — a breakfast-bar height table with matching stools, all made specifically to fit the available space.

The solid timber top has a live / character edge, which gives the whole piece a more natural, individual look, paired with simple black metal legs for a slightly more industrial feel.

The stools were made to match the table perfectly, so the whole set works together rather than looking like separate pieces.

As with all of my furniture, these can be made to suit your space:

Workshop Wednesday

A little look at what’s taking shape in the workshop today…

This custom sideboard, cupboard and shelving unit has been made to suit a customer’s exact requirements, combining plenty of useful concealed storage with drawers and open shelving above.

Still a few finishing touches to go before it’s ready to leave the workshop, but it’s coming together nicely.

One of the biggest advantages of having furniture made to order is that the layout can be designed around how you actually want to use it — rather than trying to find an off-the-shelf piece that almost fits.

Farmhouse Style Console Table

Another recent piece now in its new home — a handmade farmhouse-style console table with drawers, made to fit the space perfectly.

I really like this style for hallways and entrance spaces. The turned legs, solid timber top and practical drawers give it that traditional farmhouse feel while still being useful for everyday storage.

A recently completed bedroom makeover, with everything made to order here at Lichfield Furniture Company.

For this room I made a complete matching set including a king-size bed, bedside drawers, tallboy chest of drawers and large under-bed storage boxes on wheels.

The big advantage of having furniture made to order is that you’re not restricted by standard shop sizes. Everything can be designed around the room and the storage you actually need.
