It's been such a busy couple of months in the workshop and then some time off I don't think I posted that, yes, I did indeed manage to pass the Cytech Technical Two course. Phew! After nearly 30 years of spannering in various forms it would have been quite embarrassing if I didn't. 😅

Cyclegarden will now be CLOSED on Mondays; this includes calls/messages, collections and drop-offs. A full day off, together with my Saturday mornings off (for parkrun) should be better for work-life balance.

Cyclegarden is temporarily closed for another couple of days. The 10mm socket has gone missing. Really hoping it shows up quickly and by 28/8/26.

Cyclegarden is closed on the 1st and 2nd of August. I'm hosting "The Railway Relay", a small fun run along the old railway line from Peterhead to Ellon on Sunday the 2nd of August, and Saturday is for preparation. Open for business as normal Monday. Have a great weekend!

There was a butterfly visiting my daisies in the Cyclegarden a minute ago but I missed him with the camera and now he is being shy!

Never mind, it's still a pretty good day not to be working in an office anyway!

I just got the van back with shiny new decals by Recreate Signs and Graphics and I think they look great! You'll see me in the van around Ellon I'm sure, when I need to drive instead of cycle of course! 🙂🚴‍♂️🚐

After two weeks of Cytech training and some networking, around 160 total miles of Glasgow cycle commuting, I treated myself to a steak burrito and a cool Corona Zero before heading back to Ellon to get back to work and all the servicing and repair appointments arranged for my return!

Day one of the two day Cytech Level 2 assessment complete. I hope I pass otherwise I might have to shut up shop!

Last day of the first week at training and we are doing a bit of wheel building. Who remembers how to do geometry? How many sides in a triangle again?

Day 3 in the Cytech classroom. The work stations are quite nice. I think I'm due to refurbish my own workshop soon so maybe I'll give myself a bigger bench and better lighting like here.
