What a journey it has been bringing The Old Curio Durham to life.

From the very beginning, our mission has been to breathe new life into a historic building while respecting its character, heritage and story. We’ve worked incredibly hard to evolve with the times, adapt to the challenges of the current climate, and create a space that could not only survive, but thrive.

The response from our community has been truly overwhelming. Seeing people walk through our doors, embrace what we’re doing, share their memories, and support this little piece of history has meant everything to us.

We’re so proud of the team we’ve built too, especially the amazing young people who bring energy, creativity and passion to The Old Curio every day. Investing in the next generation and creating opportunities for them is something we care deeply about.

And there’s so much more to come… including our exciting upcoming appearance with Antiques Road Trip, which feels like such a special moment for us and for this beautiful building.

Thank you to everyone who has visited, supported, shared and believed in what we’re creating. The Old Curio is more than a place, it’s a community, and we’re so grateful to be part of it. ❤️

We met so many lovely new customers who really seemed to enjoy themselves, and it was wonderful to see the café, antiques centre and sofa shop all buzzing with activity. ❤️
