Here we have an absolute stunning 18th-century Welsh oak longcase (grandfather) clock made by the clockmaker Morris (Maurice) Thomas of Caernarfon, Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
M. Thomas of Caernarfon. Recorded working in Boot Street, Caernarfon (historically spelled Carnarvon) during the late 1700s, Morris (also documented as Maurice) Thomas was highly regarded for building fine-quality movements and specialized dials.

Dial: Arched break-arch brass dial featuring a silvered chapter ring, Roman numerals, a small date aperture, and a subsidiary seconds dial. The maker's name is engraved on a boss within the upper arch

Case Styling: Fine solid oak construction featuring a classic swan-neck pediment hood, delicate pillars, a long trunk door with matching shaped molding, and a sturdy plinth base.

1989, limited edition, collage format, produced as part of the 1989 Monterrey races at which Aston Martin was the honoured marque, showing Aston Martin sports racing cars and personalities, at this unique gathering the vendor was able to have the image signed by Sir David Brown, Stirling Moss, Mrs T. Wyer, Carroll Shelby, Tony Brooks, Ted Cutting, Maurice Trintignant, Jack Fairman, Innes Ireland, Phil Hill, Paul Frere and Roy Salvadori, 42 x 65cm, mounted.
