Can be used in different ways
Quartz is often used for kitchen and bathroom worktops, shower walls, backsplashes… The disadvantage is that quartz is restricted to the indoor use. The resins in engineered stone are not UV stable; therefore quartz shouldn’t be used outdoors.
Widest colour palette
The colour palette with quartz is really impressive, with some unusual colours that cannot be found in the range of natural stones. Quartz can also have the appearance of marble or granite while keeping the advantages of the engineered stone.
Moderate resistance to heat
Quartz is generally resistant to temperatures up to 250 Celsius, but sudden changes of temperatures may damage the surface. Avoid putting away hot pots and pans directly on the worktop.
Low maintenance
Quartz worktops require very low maintenance. The surface is easy to clean with just soap and water. Unlike other stones, quartz does not need sealing.

Resistant to scratches
Quartz is a very hard and resilient material, which makes it resistant to scratches. Beware that cutting directly on the worktop can dull your knives.
Quartz is non-porous
This means that the quartz worktops are highly hygienic because the non-porous surface prevents bacteria from growing. Also, because of this, the surface of quartz is resistant to stains. Even if you accidentally spill something, you will have no problems removing it.
Quartz is on the rise when it comes to both kitchen and bathroom projects. The material is very durable and investing in it is a smart choice. The design options with quartz are truly countless- quartz fits well in both traditional and modern style kitchens and bathrooms. The prices for quartz are rather lower when compared to prices for natural stones. It requires very low maintenance, which means the additional costs will be also lower.
