Fair Fantoosh - Bo'ness

A wee re-introduction 👋

It’s been a while since I’ve properly introduced Fair Fantoosh as your local Frenchic Paint stockist.
We’ve recently moved back to where it all started for us, at 43 North Street, Bo’ness, EH51 0AQ, and the Frenchic shelves are all set up again.

I aim to keep a good selection of the Al Fresco and Lazy Range, along with Frenchic finishes and accessories, in stock.

The Wall Paint and Trim Paint ranges are a little different, whilst i do have a few of the best sellers in stock, there are simply far too many colours for me to keep every tin on the shelf. I can order them in for you, and they can potentially be here (or your home address) within 1–2 days.

And this is where shopping locally really helps.

Paint colours can look completely different on a phone or computer screen, and I’ve had quite a few people come in after ordering online only to realise the colour wasn’t quite what they expected.

Here, you can come in first, look through the A5 Frenchic colour samples, compare the shades properly and pinpoint the exact colour you want. Then I can order it in for you.

So you get the right colour, you avoid an expensive paint mistake, and you’re supporting a local independent shop at the same time.

Win-win for you, and definitely a win-win for me too. ❤️

And while you’re here, Fair Fantoosh is also home to my bespoke lampshades and a beautiful range of Polly Sents wax melts.

We also share the space with the fantastic A Daily Dose of Dopamine , where I run all sorts of creative workshops, and Mary's Fairies, offering clothing alterations, repairs and dry cleaning.

So there’s quite a lot tucked into our wee North Street shop.

A wee delivery from Polly’s Scents has arrived to top up our wax melts—and Pumpkin Spice is back! 🍂 It’s that time of year again!

We’ve also got four new scents:

✨ Pyjama Day – soft, clean, powdery and cosy
✨ Dubai Black – warm, spicy, woody and rich
✨ Mademoiselle – fresh, fruity and floral
✨ Ancient Sakura – light cherry blossom florals with a soft, clean finish

They’ve barely made it out of the box and some have sold already 😂 I’ve only got one of each left, apart from Mademoiselle, which I have two of.

Just a wee reminder that we still have plenty of lovely wax melts and incense in the shop too!

A little look at what was happening around the workshop table at A Daily Dose of Dopamine today 🌒☀️

Cereal boxes, creativity and a wee bit of science!

If I’d known just how many people were going to be interested in the eclipse glasses, I would definitely have ordered more! I ordered 110 thinking that would be plenty, and they still completely sold out. ☀️

I’ve had so many comments and private messages from people who missed out, so I thought I’d come up with another way for the kids to still get involved.

☀️ FREE ECLIPSE VIEWER DROP-IN 🌑
Tuesday, 12pm–4pm
Bring along one empty cereal box per viewer and I’ll provide the rest of the materials and instructions to make a simple cereal-box eclipse viewer.

While I’m waiting for my updated PVG to come through, all children will need to have a parent or responsible adult stay with them for the activity. You’ll be making the viewer together, and I’ll provide the instructions and materials.

No booking and no charge, just pop in anytime between 12 and 4pm.

I’ve seen so many people looking for solar eclipse glasses, so I’ve managed to get hold of some 🙌

They’re arriving tomorrow and will be available to collect from the shop from Tuesday.

They’re ISO 12312-2 certified solar eclipse viewing glasses and they’re £2 each.

You’re absolutely welcome to pay cash when you come in, but I can’t guarantee there’ll still be some left by then, so if you definitely want a pair, I’d recommend paying online in advance.
