AWJ Woodwaste has a vacancy for a Compliance Administrator to join the team based in their Bo’ness office. The ideal candidate will assist the Compliance team by providing support for both general and technical administrative tasks such as maintenance of environmental, safety systems and assisting in achieving ISO standards.

This role primarily involves data input, document organisation and indexing, updating various records, and supporting tasks and responses to ongoing internal projects and arising issues.

The ideal applicant will:
-Have excellent organisation and communication skills.
-Be highly competent in Excel and Word.
-Provide efficient administrative support to the department and team members.
-Manage assigned mailboxes on a daily basis.
-Collate and update periodic technical data promptly.
-Perform data entry tasks accurate.
-Attend and take minutes at relevant meetings, including client meetings when required.
-Utilize current business systems and software effectively.
-Assist in achieving and maintaining ISO 9001, 14001 and 18001.
-Support the wider team with any reasonable ad-hoc duties as needed.
-Use your communication skills to build relationships with colleagues and contractors.

We were delighted to welcome Kirsteen Sullivan MP to our AWJ Woodwaste Bo’ness site for an insightful discussion on the future of wood recycling, low-carbon energy, and the circular economy. As Scotland’s largest timber recycler, AWJ processes 5,000 tonnes of waste wood every week, turning it into panel board materials, biomass fuel, and equestrian surfacing—helping to keep over 95% of domestic waste wood out of landfills. A huge thank you to Kirsteen Sullivan MP for taking the time to see our work in action and discuss how policy can support a greener, more sustainable future. We recently completed a site clearance project in Fife, successfully removing more than 80 tonnes of waste wood in just eight hours. This was achieved with the help of six A.W. Jenkinson walking floor trucks and a rubber duck grab, which efficiently crushed and loaded the timber for disposal at AWJ Bo’ness. We're proud to share that 100% of the collected timber has been fully recycled!
