No moulds. No repeats. Aleksandra Zawistowska blows each piece by hand, shaping it through a process that refuses to be copied twice. The glass keeps the memory of the gesture that made it: heat, speed, a hand moving fast.

A visit to the Xawery Wolski Foundation.
Porcelain gourds gathered by the hundred, woven metal spheres suspended in light, a branching form set against a garden wall, bronze drawn into a chain. Across each body of work, a sustained inquiry into repetition, accumulation, and form held just short of resolution.

The Metropolis, designed by Jan Garncarek, a Warsaw-born designer trained at the Academy of Fine Arts and the Politecnico di Milano. Metropolis celebrates what is most beautiful in brass. Each piece is handcrafted using traditional metalworking techniques, including metal spinning for the plates, a method gradually disappearing from contemporary practice. Garncarek seeks to achieve balance between design and sculpture, combining modernity with tradition in a unique visual language built around massive spherical forms. All works are produced as a short series.

Maria Kozak works beyond fixed notions of time, space, and identity. Her imagined worlds hold subjects in a state of perpetual suspension, moving fluidly between the sacred and the profane, intimacy and distance, the real and the artificial.

This summer, the gallery heads south. A return to the Riviera for PAD Saint-Tropez, following our debut presentation in Monaco last year, with a selection of works chosen for the occasion.

This time last year, we were preparing for the grand opening of Boketto Monaco in Mareterra, Renzo Piano’s iconic extension of the principality. Today, we are putting together something even more exciting. Stay tuned!

Glass Variations, an exhibition presented by the gallery in collaboration with the eponymous publisher. The pieces, designed by Pool Studio, are composed entirely of tinted glass, assembled using UV bonding: no fixings, no visible hardware. Structure held by the precision of an invisible joint alone. Transparency, light, and form reduced to their purest expression.

The works remain on view at the gallery.

The Diapason, designed by Marzio Cecchi for Studio Most, Florence, 1968. A single sheet of brushed stainless steel, bent, cantilevered, complete. No joints. No ornamentation. The form is the structure and the structure is the form. Fewer than 40 examples are known to exist.

Cecchi was a Florentine architect who died in New York on 1 January 1990, leaving behind a body of work that remains among the most quietly radical of the Italian mid-century. The Diapason is perhaps its clearest expression, a desk that functions equally well as sculpture, and makes no distinction between the two.
