Esta semana estuvimos en Bodegas Torres con mis mejores amigas — y lo que empezó como una visita se convirtió en una tarde inolvidable. Miguel Torres en persona nos recibió, nos acompañó, nos contó historias… de esas que solo escuchas cuando tienes la suerte de estar en el lugar correcto con la gente correcta.
El vino, espectacular. La compañía, insuperable. Y la sensación de que algunos momentos simplemente no se pueden planear.

This week we visited Bodegas Torres with my closest girlfriends — and what started as a tour turned into an unforgettable afternoon. Miguel Torres himself welcomed us, stayed with us, shared stories… the kind you only hear when you happen to be in the right place with the right people.
The wine, exceptional. The company, even better. And that feeling that some moments simply can’t be planned.

Everyone thinks an interior designer just picks pretty colors and fabrics. 🙃
The reality? I’m the one calling the plumber at 8am because he forgot the pipes go before the tiles. I’m coordinating 6 different tradespeople who all swear they’ll be there “tomorrow.” I’m catching the mistake that would have cost you €4,000 to fix later. And yes, somewhere in between, I also pick the colors.
That’s what you’re actually hiring when you work with an interior designer on your renovation. Not decoration. Direction.

Todo el mundo cree que una interiorista solo elige colores bonitos y telas. 🙃
La realidad: soy yo la que llama al fontanero a las 8 de la mañana porque se le olvidó que las tuberías van antes que los azulejos. La que coordina a 6 gremios distintos que todos juran que llegan “mañana.” La que detecta el error que te habría costado €4.000 corregir después. Y sí, entre medias, también elijo los colores.
Eso es lo que contratas cuando trabajas con una interiorista en tu reforma. No decoración. Dirección.
