With the Post Lounge Chair, Cecilie Manz extends the Post Collection into lounge and living settings. The chair, while carefully adjusted to support a more relaxed posture, retains the same principles of scale, proportion and comfort, allowing it to maintain the same sense of presence that defines the collection.
The designer’s approach, often moving between Scandinavian and Japanese traditions, is grounded in restraint, with particular attention to proportion and materiality.

Introducing the Post Lounge Chair: The relaxed typology that evolves Cecilie Manz’s Post collection into lounge and living settings.
The Post Lounge chair, with its slim oak frame, feels resolved rather than decorated. Scale, proportion, and comfort have been carefully adjusted to support a more relaxed posture, while retaining the same sense of presence characteristic of the Post collection.
Manz, a Fredericia long-term collaborator, has refined rather than redefined, paying special attention to proportion, materiality and the interchangeable webbing and seat.

Sarah discovered the craft of upholstery almost by chance, but quickly recognised it as the right path. A newly trained upholsterer working at our workshop in Svendborg, she now works on technically complex sofas and iconic designs by Børge Mogensen and Hans J. Wegner. Sarah is part of a new generation carrying a longstanding craft forward, while continuing to develop it for the future.
We chatted to Sarah about her development as an upholsterer, teamwork and craft.

At Fredericia, upholstery is a craft shaped by knowledge, precision and experience. In our workshop in Svendborg, traditional techniques are combined with specialised skills to bring both technically complex sofas and iconic designs by Børge Mogensen and Hans J. Wegner to life.
Sarah is one of the upholsterers behind this work. As part of a new generation of craftspeople, she is helping carry this knowledge forward while developing her own expertise within the craft.
