The first coat is where the transformation begins. As the oil meets the English walnut, decades of growth, character, and grain come to life.

A critical step in the process of casting wood in epoxy is removing the bark from the organic edge of the slab. If this is not completed, it is likely that the molecular bond between the epoxy and wood will fail over time with seasonal changes in humidity.
