Cedar Bay Beach in Port Colborne is one of those easygoing spots that's perfect for a relaxed day out.
Sandy shoreline, plenty of space, and people swimming and enjoying the sun. Bring a lunch for one of the two picnic pavilions, washrooms are on site, and there's tennis, volleyball, and horseshoes if you're up for a little friendly competition.
Quick tip, book your pavilion ahead for summer and check parking before you go, it fills up fast in peak season.
My personal favourite time to visit? Fall through spring, when it's just peaceful and beautiful.
