Mike’s Custom Creations physical store is closing. I will continue hosting, and going to, craft shows, and will be selling online at www.mikescustomcreations.net.

I have many shelf units and display cabinets in the store and don’t need them all at home, so if you are looking for shelves or cabinets, come see what’s there and make an offer on any you are interested in. I will be in the store Tuesday November 5 from 11 to 4, and if there are any left after that, I’ll be back there Friday.

The store is located in the little mall at 23 Beckwith Street North in Smiths Falls, beside TD Canada Trust.

Mike’s Custom Creations, store located in Rideau Heartland Centre, is looking for 3 or 4 young, and older, volunteers to have fun with painting.

I do a variety of things. I started with woodworking, added resin, then laser engraving, and electronics. One thing I’m selling is plaques with whatever you want laser engraved onto them. Buy them that way, and leave them as is, or let someone have fun colouring them with paint, pencil crayons or crayons.

My teen daughter painted this one for me for display. I would like 2 or 3 more display samples, from different ages and different colouring methods. I want to get one done with crayons by a young child, age around 3-6, to show that even little kids can have fun. I also want to get one done with pencil crayons and one with paint by an older child, age 7-13, and if an adult wants to do one with paint, that would be great.

What does your child, or you get? You tell me what he or she, or you, wants a picture of to paint or colour. I will burn 3 plaques with that picture. One is left as is, one is coloured by the volunteer to display, and the volunteer keeps the 3rd one. The colouring will be done in my store at a scheduled time, with a parent present. Once it’s coloured, colour the other one and take it home, or take it home and colour it later.

If interested, pm me and we will discuss details and schedule the time to colour. I will update this post when I have enough volunteers.

Mini craft show this Saturday in the Rideau Heartland Centre at 23 Beckwith St N, where my store is. There will be a few vendors set up inside. Come check it out. Let me know if you want to set up a table.

If you would like to sell your products at this show, you can sign up for an indoor or outdoor spot, for Saturday, Sunday, or both days.

Mike’s Custom Creations store opens June 4 @ 23 Beckwith St N, Smiths Falls, in the Rideau Heartland Centre.
