Thank you Campfire Media for creating all of our marketing material this year! 😊
Playing for Charity
We host gaming based events to support many different causes. We want to help as many charities as po Clair Child & Youth Services!
In 2014, Darryl Heater came up with the idea for Playing for Charity while he was streaming himself gaming. He realized that there may be an opportunity to really make a difference this way. He reached out to Max Major, who jumped on board immediately, and that's when Playing for Charity really started to pick up steam. Playing for Charity’s first 24 hour video game marathon was Black Friday 2015

This year, you helped us raise $10,430 for St. Clair Child & Youth Services! We can't thank you enough. None of this would be possible without you. It also would not have been possible without:
Total Play. We can't thank this store enough. This year, they didn't just provide our PS5 PRO Grand prize...they also held a huge Magic:The Gathering tournament to help drive up the final donation total. Steve Perger was integral to our planning committee this year!
Imperial City Brew House. Thanks for being the host with the most! Rina not only let us live in their brewery, but also helped on this year's planning committee!
TJ's Furniture & Home Decor. Thanks for providing all of the furniture! This year's living room was extremely comfortable...dangerously comfortable...
John's Restaurant Sarnia. Thanks for providing brunch and helping contribute to the final total!
The Action Figures. Thanks for the wonderful sendoff! You really helped make our final marathon feel special! I hear you also donated a projector to the Celebration of Lights after it was vandalized. Someone give these guys the key to the city!
Boston Pizza Sarnia. Thank you for dinner every year over the last decade! The spicy perogie pizza has become the official pizza of our marathon.
GameStop in the Lambton Mall. Thanks for always making sure we have the latest games we need for the stream!
SUNCOR. Thanks for the massive $5000 donation during the final 10 minutes that sealed the deal and shot us over our goal!
A huge thank you to our PLAYER 3 and PLAYER 4 this year, Aaron Cooper and Levi Webb! We asked you for a massive donation of your time, and you went the distance! I can't wait to start clipping the best moments and sharing a laugh with you again soon.
And finally, thank YOU. This year has been really hard for a lot of people financially. It was no small ask to have you join us in supporting St. Clair Child and Youth. It doesn't matter how much you donated...thank you. Making sure that kids and their families have free access to mental health and addiction counciling is very important to us. We're glad you agreed.
~Max Major & Darryl Heater ❤️
Our tenth, and final, 24-hour charity video game marathon exceeded our goals with a final total of $10,420 for St. Clair Child & Youth Services. There are a lot of people and businesses we need to thank...and we look forward to doing it tomorrow after we sleep! 😅😆🥳
Talk soon! ~Max and Darryl

Our friend Levi created a new stream overlay for this year's marathon that evokes the arcade cabinets of old. We think he really nailed our physiques! ~Max & Darryl 🤣💪🎮
