🔥🌲 Wildfire Community Preparedness Day – Deer Lake🌲🔥

Wildfire Community Preparedness Day is an annual initiative dedicated to raising awareness about wildfire risks and encouraging communities to take proactive steps to reduce their vulnerability to wildfires.

Traditionally observed on the first Saturday in May... and yes, we're a little late 😜... but it's never too late to become better prepared!

Deer Lake Fire Rescue is proud to partner with FireSmart Canada and the Town of Deer Lake to host an evening focused on wildfire preparedness, emergency readiness, and community resilience.

📍 **Deer Lake Fire Hall – 26 Reid's Lane**

Wildfires don't just impact individual properties, they can affect entire neighbourhoods and communities.

That's why preparedness is a shared responsibility. By working together, we can reduce wildfire risks, strengthen our community's resilience, and better protect our homes, families, and the beautiful landscapes that make Newfoundland such a special place to live.

During the evening, you'll learn how to:
