A few people have asked about the kindly gentleman seated at the magnificent Rodgers 4 manual console in our profile picture.

He is the late Mr. Cecil G Smith, organist of St Paul AME Church in Bermuda for over 35 years. Cecil was instrumental in getting the Rodgers combination organ built about 10 years ago. The organ incorporates 33 ranks of pipework into the scheme (9 from the Churches original Casavant Pipe organ)

Cecil was one of Bermuda's great musical ambassadors, a magnificent organist and Choir Director, and is tremendously and very sadly missed by all.

Another member of the Churches Trustees who must be mentioned with regard to this fabulous organ is Mr Eddie Dyer who worked tirelessly to ensure that the Church was provided with the most advanced instrument possible, both technically and musically. This project would not have been possible without Eddie’s commitment to excellence and sheer determination.

Here we introduce our company, Bermuda Pipe Organ Company Limited, Bermuda’s only Pipe Organ Building Company. We are also the authorized dealers and technicians for Rodgers Instruments LLC, in Bermuda, the world’s largest manufacturer of Cathedral, Church, Auditorium and home organs all all sizes, from small to enormous!

Although we've been in business for over 30 years, this is our first appearance on FaceBook. We are a bit stuck for photos right now, eventually however, we will put up many of the hundreds of photos that document our detailed work over the years.

Although we are probably best known for the magnificent Cathedral Organ in St Theresa's RC Cathedral in Hamilton, Bermuda (4 manuals and with the ability to control 100 ranks of pipes), St Paul's, Paget (3 manuals and installed 88 ranks of pipes) and many others, we've also worked hard to supply high quality instruments for private practice in the home environment.

We hope that when complete, our page will demonstrate that we can provide excellent, timely work at a fraction of the cost of importing a foreign firm. Furthermore, our servicing and tuning can be arranged at a moments notice without having to wait for the overseas tuner’s next expensive journey, this costing considerable amounts of money, Including the requirement of a Bermuda Government Work Permit. Persons on Work Permits are strictly disallowed to carry out work in locations other than those described in the permit.

Bermuda Pipe Organ Company Limited will be increasingly vigilant in this regard and will be carefully monitoring the activites of Mr Ray Colby during his trips to Bermuda to service the organs in the Anglican Cathedral, Saint Paul’s in Paget Parish, and St Mark’s in Smith’s Parish.

Here we have the first appearance of my company, Bermuda Pipe Organ Services Ltd., on FaceBook.
