WowWowWow!!! Love how these photographs taken by my grandfather George C Gibbs in the 40s/50s look in The Rum Vault at Colony Club by Elegant Hotels. Papa Georgie (as he was known) would have been blown away by their usage and relevance in the new millennium. Goes to show that a good image is not all about the instrument but about the artist's eye.

Art truly has the power to transform a space. From the moment we laid eyes on the photograph “Youth Sucking Cane” c.1940/1950, we just had to have this truly iconic image. Anyone who has experienced the unadulterated joy of chewing/sucking on pure sugar cane can relate to this image.
