The 2026 Newcastle Permanent Community Football finals have arrived and, for , there was something extra special about semi-final day.

Their under-12s and 14s girls had the opportunity to play their semi-finals at home, with teammates, families, coaches and supporters cheering them on from the sideline.

We caught up with the players and coaches to hear what it means to play finals football on their own pitch and why having their community behind them makes the experience even more special. 🙌

The Dan Haslam Memorial Cup brings Tamworth FC and North Companions FC together each year to honour a man who holds a special place in the history of both clubs.
