New set of Parse Chairs are being made at the moment. This is one from a set we sent to Tassie a while back. How did the chair get its name? Well we wanted a word that had arse in it due to the shaping on the seat. But also the chair is very elemental, the seat the, the base and back are all clearly defined and analysed separately but come together cohesively.

Classic Shelves- adjustable with brass supports. Haven’t made this style for a while. A quiet design that sits nicely in the background. Probably won’t see them out on the footpath in 10 years as they will still hold square and the shelves won’t sag even fully loaded.
These ones are 350mm deep as they are going either side of a Murphy bed.
Recycled vic ash timber frame, recycled flooring for the shelves.

Please watch ABC Four Corners Episode - Timber Turmoil. (available on iview).
It confirms our commitment to using only recycled timber. (Boards that have been stored in Pop’s shed for a generation ok too)
A great investigative piece that exposes the greenwash of Australia’s timber industry. It’s a conflicting and difficult topic.
Here are just a fraction of our pieces that show how the scars and traces of the timbers former life become a part of the piece.

Nice to get feedback like this:
“Thanks to you and Nick for the beautiful book shelves!!! I’ve just been looking at them constantly. They really bring the room together and we couldn’t be happier with them. Luka came in straight away and put a set of his books in them so they have been christened now too”
Recycled timber flooring to shelves, recycled rafter stock to posts, nice concealed rebates half house joins. Flat pack delivery.

Huon Legacy Project-
2 x Pegwedge tables crafted from ancient Huon Pine. This timber has a long backstory. A log sent over from Tassie in the 70’s was intended to be crafted into a boat, it was milled into large sections and then stored on two different farms. We have had it on our racks since it was rescued after the 2020 fires where it was nearly lost.
We have now made 4 dining tables from this incredible timber.

Huon Legacy Project- when working with timber this ancient and special you don’t waste a scrap. Butterfly pins to split ends add stability and are aesthetically pleasing.

Re opening our doors for 2026…
The MI/YUKI/MON entry gate from last year captured beautifully by Andrew Wuttke
We have had people asking about how it turned out..my photos didn’t do it justice. If only we could have all our work professionally shot.
Looking forward to getting back into the workshop.
